2007 Results
The traditional Peaks to Prairie is a unique Montana race that's run-bike-boat. Athletes compete either as a soloist or in teams. NEW in 2008, a duathlon-like event (run-bike legs of the first two legs of the traditional Peaks race.
The race opens with an 8.8 mile run in the rarified air and in the shadow of the majestic Beartooth Mountains. Spectators cheer the runners into the resort community Red Lodge for the run-bike transition. more run info...
Athletes then hop on bikes to ride 43 miles through farm and ranch country to Riverside Park, south of Laurel. The duathlon ends there. more bike info...
For the traditional Peaks athletes, they face one more grueling leg ... paddling 23 miles on the last of America's undammed natural waterways to the finish at Coulson Park in Billings. more paddle info... NOTE: THE CUT OFF TIME FOR TRIATHLETES TO START THE RIVER SECTION IS 1 PM. IF YOU (OR BIKE TEAM MEMBER) ARE (IS) NOT AT THE LAUREL BOAT RAMP BY 1 PM YOU WILL BE PULLED FROM THE EVENT.

A new family category, a team made up of immediate family members; awards will be given out to those top three finishers.
An awesome finish-line festival for all athletes, family, friends, and others at Coulson Park. There will be a climbing wall and kid's "race," food, live music, a raffle drawing, and lots of fun.
